The Pursuit Golf League

The league will be structured as stroke play competition, handicap adjusted, and each weekly contest will be played on a different GS Pro course that will be set up with the same conditions for all players.  Players can enter as individuals or as a member of a 2-golfer scramble team and will compete for weekly prizes and for the overall league championship, which will be determined by their best 8 handicap adjusted scores out of the 10 rounds.  We will utilize the USGA handicap system to allow individuals to compete fairly against 2-golfer scramble teams, as there is a proven formula for taking the handicaps of each player on the scramble team to normalize them against individual handicap adjusted scores.  There is no requirement to commit to the full 10 week league, as each week will be a competition on its own, but to win the league championship, players must post a score in at least 8 of the 10 weekly events.

There will be multiple opportunities each week for players to post their weekly score.  The Pursuit will be hosting "League Rounds" on Monday nights from 7pm-10pm, Thursday nights from 7pm-10pm and Sunday afternoons from 1pm-4pm (and the NFL games will be playing on TV).  During the League Rounds, both bays will be reserved for league competition and players will have a chance to warm up on the range before the first tee.  League members will be able to reserve their spot on the website for any one week or for the entire league season.  Each League Round will be limited to 8 participants per session (4 players in each bay) and members will play as part of a foursome (paired with their friends if requested).  If league members are unable to make it to one of the three weekly League Rounds, they can play their round and post a score anytime during the week by reserving a bay for an hour (for individuals) or 2 hours (for 2-golfer scramble teams) on the website and selecting "League Makeup Round", and that round will covered by the league entry fee.​​

The entry fee for the league will be $50 per week per person ($100 for scramble teams) or $400 per person ($800 for scramble teams) for all 10 weeks if paid up front .  Weekly and Full Season Prizes are TBD, but will include things such as gift cards, time on the simulator, golf lessons or other golf-related items.  We'll have the NFL games on TV during all Fall League Rounds and will be ordering in chicken wings from Runyon's or pizza from Carmela's (for an optional additional fee)!!

The Pursuit will also be coordinating "side games" such as closest to the pin on the par 3s, longest drive on one of the par 5s, and super-skins (when a player is the only person on a particular hole to make a birdie or better).  Side game participation will be optional and will require an additional entry fee, but all side game entry fees will be paid out to the winners in cash.  Other side bets will be encouraged!
